General
Yes—this is a strictly 21+ event. Valid government-issued ID is required for entry. No exceptions.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your scheduled entry time to allow for check-in and security. This ensures you’re ready to walk in right when gates open for your tier.

Each tier determines your entry time and overall experience window. Earlier entry = more time, smaller crowds, and first access to pours.

Depending on your ticket tier, your experience ranges from 3 to 5 hours.
1st Toast Ticket: 12PM—5PM (5 hours)
2nd Toast Ticket: 1PM—5PM (4 hours)
Final Toast Ticket: 2PM—5PM (3 hours)
Every ticket tier except the designated driver ticket includes unlimited tasting samples.
Yes—San Diego’s most celebrated food vendors will be on-site with food available for purchase.

Salty Toast takes place at Broadway Pier, featuring both the indoor Port Pavilion and open-air waterfront spaces—offering a seamless indoor-outdoor experience with coastal views throughout.
There is no public parking on the Broadway Pier.Rideshare services (Uber, Lyft), walking, biking, and public transit are all highly encouraged.If you plan to consume alcohol, please use a designated driver or rideshare.There are several parking garages and lots within a short walk of the venue. We highly recommend reserving your parking online in advance, as nearby garages and lots may significantly increase their parking rates on event day.Reserve parking at the link here
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
You can resell or giveaway your ticket as we do not offer refunds under any circumstances. The name of the attendee does NOT need to match the name on the ticket. All attendees do, however, must be 21+ in age.
This is a rain or shine event. Coastal weather is part of the experience—plan accordingly.
Yes! Ticket upgrades are permitted as long as the ticket type you want is still available and has not sold out.Because Eventbrite securely processes all payments, we're unable to upgrade tickets on your behalf. Instead, Eventbrite allows you to self-upgrade by paying the difference in price.Please follow the instructions at the link HERE.Please note:Upgrades are subject to availability.Once a ticket tier sells out, upgrades into that tier are no longer possible.Downgrades and partial refunds are not available.
To help expedite entry and enhance security, we encourage attendees to bring clear bags whenever possible.Permitted bags include:Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags of any size.One small clutch, wristlet, or purse (5" x 7" or smaller), with or without a handle or strap.Medically necessary bags and diaper bags are permitted but are subject to inspection.
Please note:All bags are subject to search upon entry.Security reserves the right to deny entry to any bag or item deemed unsafe or prohibited.To help speed up security screening, we recommend bringing only essential items.
Yes. Reusable water bottles, hydration packs, and water bladders are permitted to help attendees stay hydrated throughout the festival.Water container policy:Reusable water bottles, hydration packs, and water bladders are allowed.They may be brought in filled with water.All water containers are subject to inspection by security upon entry.Security reserves the right to inspect, empty, or deny entry to any container that contains anything other than water or is determined to present a safety or security concern.Please help us keep everyone safe by bringing only water in these containers.
No. Camping chairs, folding chairs, stools, and other portable seating are not permitted inside the festival due to limited space and to help keep walkways clear for attendees, vendors, and emergency access.We'll have tables and chairs available in the designated food/eating area for attendees to relax while enjoying their food. Please do not move these tables or chairs to other areas of the festival so they remain available for everyone.
